What if Hacker News was a spreadsheet?

Well now it is:

We've been reimagining the spreadsheet for live data at Paradigm.

As a fun side project, we asked ourselves: what if HN itself was a sheet?

So we built it!

https://app.paradigmai.com/sheets/public/57563f21-e243-44a6-9a5e-dafe3337bc97

A live, filterable sheet of the top HN posts, updated daily.

You can:

- Sort by upvotes/hour - Search across titles - See what’s trending right now Paradigm setup:

- Pull live data from HackerNews API - Add all of the columns you want auto enriched - Connect the data to the Paradigm via webhook - Sort and filter by most recent HN posts Link to sheet in comments. Free to copy and remix it however you want.

What other data sources would you like to see as a live sheet?

I would actually like to see something like TV Tropes in spreadsheet form. Something like this: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/JustForFun/OverdosedT...

But in more detail like category etc and covering a wider range of tropes. That way I could be watching a horror movie or something and work out who's likely to die based on the tropes and so on.

Or something like digging up forgotten tropes when I'm digging around for ideas that nobody uses anymore.

Or popular color tropes when I need to pick a symbolic hair color and wardrobe.
