I love obsidian but it's not the best tool for most people I know. I'm fine with tinkering adding plugins / scripts but for most people, the functionality they want isn't a default feature and guiding them to all the extras becomes an issue.
I'll keep using it, love it, but there definitely should be a fork with everything already configured for more casual users.
