Ex-founders, Executives, engineers that have built large parts of the software we take for granted - each and every one of them maintains that every time they have to apply for a visa as an Indian passport holder, it's an absolutely humbling experience.
Oof, that's tough. I'm over here on a blue card, and I found that the initial application and dealing with department of immigration was actually really streamlined. Everything is very manual and personal over here, but there are a large number of public servants that are very welcoming and happy to help out.

Certainly in 2025 we can collectively come up with a better solution, where passports could be granted permissions electronically and the actual document would act only as international identification.
It is not possible to apply for one visum for all of schengen?

Many countries will allow you a second or even third passport, so you can still travel while visa are being processed.
